Hotel Kiosk — DigitalPOD in Lobby
Hotel kiosk (DigitalPOD) is a touchscreen information and service point available 24/7 in lobby or common areas.
A hotel kiosk (DigitalPOD) is a freestanding or wall-mounted device with a touchscreen, placed in the hotel lobby or common areas. It serves as a digital information and service point available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — regardless of reception staff availability.
What is DigitalPOD?
DigitalPOD is a series of hotel kiosks designed specifically for hospitality applications. Devices are available in three sizes:
DigitalPOD 15" — compact model for wall or reception desk mounting. Ideal for smaller properties and hallway information points.
DigitalPOD 24" — medium-sized freestanding or wall-mounted model. Suitable for mid-sized hotels and common areas (restaurant, SPA zone).
DigitalPOD 32" — flagship model with large touchscreen. Designed for lobbies of large hotels and resorts, serving as a central information point.
All models feature high-resolution touchscreens, housings in two color options (black, white), and hotelspot software with full feature set.
Hotel Kiosk Features
DigitalPOD kiosk offers the same features as mobile app and browser version:
Hotel information — opening hours, amenities, regulations, facility map, phone directory, TV channels, WiFi password
Points of interest (POI) — attractions, restaurants, and services nearby with map and descriptions
Room service — menu browsing and ordering to room
Hotel shop — purchasing products with room delivery
SPA booking — browsing offerings and booking treatments
Equipment rental — checking availability and reserving equipment
Maintenance requests — reporting technical issues
AI Concierge — conversation with AI assistant in any language
Special offers — promotions, events, packages
Why a Kiosk in the Lobby?
Hotel kiosk solves several problems simultaneously:
Guests without smartphones — older guests or people with dead batteries have access to information and services
Language barriers — kiosk automatically displays content in guest's language, eliminating need for communication in foreign language
Reception queues — guests with simple questions (WiFi, breakfast hours, local attractions) use kiosk instead of waiting in line
Night service — kiosk operates 24/7, providing information and services even during night hours when reception has limited staff
Accessibility — people with disabilities can use touchscreen interface adapted to their needs
Installation and Implementation
DigitalPOD kiosk implementation is simple — device requires power and connection to hotel WiFi network. Content is managed from the same admin panel as mobile app and browser version. Changes in panel automatically update all channels — kiosk, mobile app, and PWA.
Kiosk vs Other Channels
DigitalPOD kiosk doesn't replace mobile app and browser version — it complements them. Hotel offers guests three channels to access the system, and guest chooses most convenient for them. All three channels are managed from one admin panel — content added once is visible on kiosk, in mobile app, and in browser.
